Board Of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for strategic direction and for managing the buisiness of PNG Sustainable Development Program Limited, including monitoring its performance to ensure consistency with the Company's Program Rules. The Board also reports to the Members, to the Government of Papua New Guinea, to BHP Biliton, to Ok Tedi Mining Limited, and to other Papua New Guinea stakeholders. The Board is not subject to the direction or control of BHP Biliton or the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

The Board of Directors consists of Dr Ross Garnaut (Chairman), Mr Donald Manoa, Sir Ebia Olewale, Dr Jakob Weiss, Hon. Jim Carlton, Ms Patricia Caswell and Mr Lim How Teck.

Board Meetings

The Board has adopted a policy of visiting Papua New Guinea to discuss development priorities and programs every three months prior to its scheduled meetings in Singapore. The Board held six meetings during 2004 as follows:
