PNGSDP continued its support of the Programs of ‘Leadership PNG’ with further funding towards the development of a leadership culture, through learning programs to enhance the skills of emerging and current leaders.
Support also was geared towards enhancing the knowledge of youths to acquire skills in government and governance, advocacy and political participation, anti-corruption and human rights. This will enable an increase in youth empowerment and skills in politics and governance process.

The Gihamu Community Water Supply Project |

The Gihamu community live in the rugged Western Highlands of PNG. To implement the Gihamu water project, PNGSDP partnered with the Baptist Union of PNG and the local community.
The project involved the construction of a water supply system which will provide easy access to clean and safe water for drinking and general use, to a community of 8,000 people. The total sum allocated to the project by PNGSDP was K250, 000.
